Our Mission
The Rookie Academy was established to give children a pathway to develop their skills in a specialised basketball program. We want our participants to get the best they can out of the program whilst making new friends and having fun.
We aim to provide boys and girls, from ages 7-13 with minimal basketball experience, to come and develop their skills and progress to be able to play at a competitive level.
Ray Bycroft
Ray founded the Rookie Academy to provide a program for players to enhance their skills and better prepare them for higher grade competitions.
Ray has coached basketball in domestic and in the WA Basketball League (WABL). Ray has spent time overseas coaching basketball in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) in New York, USA.
Ray's is passionate about developing players' skills, socially and developmentally, to enable them to grow as players and play the game of basketball.
